Incorrect amount of gold when purging "Mine for the taking" cemetery

Post by Self-Perfection »

Whenever I kill all zombies at cemetery from "Mine for the taking" quest the loot dialog box shows incorrect amount of gathered gold.

Here are two screenshots for example.:
Screenshot_20231213-204427.png
Screenshot_20231212-045156.png
Note that on both screenshots loot box says that character got more gold than XP. But it is not possible! At the cemetery there are just 2 types of monsters: Graveyard corpse (333 XP, 1-6 gold), Angry graveyard corpse (447 XP, 200 gold). Both give less gold than XP, so killing any count of such monsters has to give less gold than XP. And indeed amount of my gold increases much less that loot box suggests.

The screenshots were taken on version 0.8.7, but on 0.8.8 incorrect calculation is still present.

When I kill just a couple of corpses loot box seems to show amount correctly. I don't know what triggers miscalculation, but it seems to happen any time I kill many corpses at once.

Other drops are miscalculated as well I believe I could not get 10 shields from one cemetery sweep.

P.S. The screenshots are big, I know. I tried recompressing to WEBP which made files 20x times smaller, but this forum does not accept WEBP images

Here's a really stupid question: do you have multiple levels in Treasure Hunter?

I don't see any reason why there would be a bug just in this one spot.
There must be something else in play here. How many monsters are you fighting at one time?

Can you reproduce this? I.e. repeat it over and over again?

I can reproduce it every time I kill all zombies at the cemetery in one continuous battle. I just tried it again. Here is the table where I have written down all numbers for comparison. I have written down my gold, xp, and number of killed angry graveyard corpses before and after battle.

And here is the screenshot of lootbox after this run:
Screenshot_20231215-140215.png
I have killed 6 angry graveyard corpses and my gold increased by 1238 coins (extra 38 due to simple graveyard corpses). But loot box shows that I found 8254 gold.

The only number that loot box showed correctly is the amount of gained XP.

If you go to your preferences do you have "high quality filters" enabled?

I tried toggling "high quality filters" off. No change: loot box after sweeping cemetery still lied about amount of gained gold and items

Well, so much for that idea.

Have you tried the same experiment on other maps?

It is the only place I have seen this bug. Apparently it is somehow related to number of enemies defeated in one battle. So I need some place where monsters respawn and come to player from the distance when he starts battle. Do you have suggestion where I should try?

Maybe hirathil ghosts on the way to Lodar? It might be not enough. Maybe this bugs needs more than 10 enemies to be defeated in one battle.
