Hey everyone, I recently picked AT again after years (close to 10) of not playing. I started again from scratch, and I don't really know what to do now. I followed this guide (viewtopic.php?t=4583) but it stops at lvl 16, whereas I'm currently sitting at lvl 20. My stats are as follows:

AC: 156
AD: 21-32
CHS: 24
CM: 2
ECC: 16%
BC: 76
DR: 1

Skills

Alright, there you have it. I think I've given all the pertinent information, and I just don't want to stumble into an area or quest that I'm not ready for. I think I can complete the lost potion quest, there were just slightly too strong monsters in my way to the cave but now that I have the Yatagan I should be able to handle them. So, with all that being said, any tips?

Just follow the content. If you are moving to maps and are sustaining mass amounts of damage then back off and go somewhere else. If you're surviving pretty well then you should probably be there. If you're dominating then you need to move on and challenge yourself somewhere else.
But generally speaking at level 20 you should be somewhere around flagstone prison

As to the guide "from fly to dual wielding monster"
That guide was my starting point as well, but the game mechanics have been changed significantly.
The combo of DW + Combat Speed + JoF + QSD is still fun in melee-situations, but it won't make you become the monster of the olden days.

Damn... You managed to get the Yatagan pretty early...
Thats a good weapon up until lv 40 I think (just my opinion)
You could farm for Rols 🤷🏻‍♂️ (regardless of what the sources say, this is subjectively easy to get. Theres a lotta mobs that drop it)
Or you could go to Flagstone prison I spose.
Or Vilegard.

Yeah, RoLS is a favorite for me as well. I usually go there around lvl 25.
At level 20 fungi panic is a good (sometimes hard) quest for grinding xp

Why is the example walkthrough still pinned to the top of the forum if it is so outdated? Do we / I need to write another one to replace it?

It's great stuff and much work in there.
Yes, the combat system has changed, especially the damage modifier has been introduched. Nonetheless it's (imo) a great introduction into specialisations.
It made _me_ think about the skill-tree it was part of developing my oldest character (now level 133) it led me to some dumb decisions and gave me very much fun.
It is good, that it's pinned despite it's outdated in some parts, just because the OP told a great (and unique) tale about developing his own character.

Go ahead, play along, enjoy loads of new quests. Have fun, but just remember that this game is under development and some things may be different from the olden days, when someone on these forums told his lore.
