That's terrible, specially since Flagstone Pride is probably one of the best Weapon in the game and accessible at a very early level( as early as Lvl 10)

There is one in Brimhaven that is sort of hidden. You have to buy one of two objects first (or both of them), then go talk to someone. All other quests start by simply talking to someone.

In the public release version of 0.8.2 you can complete either 90 or 91 quests, depending on what you did with the sheep, and visit either 678 or 680 places, depending on what you did with the thieves.

I can provide a bit of insight on this as a recent federal prisoner. The BOP contracts with Keefe Group to supply their inmate-use Android tablets. Keefe forked the source code to the game (without making it available in violation of the license) and distributes it for $1.24. The forked version of the game has the Flagstone and Hearthstone quests removed due to correctional environment concerns. Keefe has been providing periodic updates merged into their version of the game after repeated requests.

Also, hats off to the development team, as this game is in-fact wildly popular within the federal prison system.

Glad we can give something. That is the point of AT.

Also, thanks for heads up about the license violation. They do indeed need to publish the code. I was told that they did not delete the Authors page. That would be a really egregious violation.

Yes, they crippled the Flagstone quest. In a really bad way, because they allow it to be started, but not finished. The Heartstone quest is not complete yet, so nobody can finish it (we are working on it). I did hear there is another quest they deleted, but I'm not sure which one.

The other one they deleted was "a night visit"

Do the inmates actually own the android tablets, or does the prison system own them and just lease them to inmates? If the latter, would Keefe need to disclose the source code to the inmates or just the prison system? And would the changes need to be disclosed to the original maintainers of the project, even though they are not users of the fork? https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/words-to ... tml#Access

edit: I suppose that even though the prison probably owns the tablets, the prisoners still own the andor's trail game due to purchasing it and should therefore be entitled to a copy of the source code upon request. but I am not a lawyer.

Is there a recorded history somewhere on GPL violations of Andor's Trail and subsequent legal action? Or is this the first time? I do not know if it is productive to challenge Keefe even if they are violating the GPL (idk if they are). They might just remove the game entirely rather than make it comply with the license, and then nobody in the prison gets to play (unless they have an android phone).
