These look awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Have you done anything else besides living things? Things like inanimate objects or things like trees or other outdoor elements?

What we are looking for are staircases. More specifically ones the our oriented north south and going down into the ground or downhill.
Is that something that's in your wheelhouse?

Yes, looks very nice 8-)
It should be 32x32 for normal size monsters. We have some 32x64 or 64x64 bosses, but they are also displayed bigger - resolution for any tile is 32x32

The staircase, probably not. Its easier to do the mobs, because you don't have to adapt to the specific art style. But I could try some other map obstacles and maybe trees.

These are the 4 32x32 parts of a tree which covers 4 tiles
