I suppose that RoL means Rapier of Lifesteal. If that's the case than it is not fair to suggest an item that the other person cannot test. RoL has to be grinded for. The items with curse of the undead have 100% drop chance so they can be tested easily.
I'm talking about the side effect that you are describing with the new shield. It's also seen with the RoL. I'm not asking you to test it. I'm just simply stating a fact that what you're describing already exists with another item and we're living with the side effect.

Okay. Is the side effect cannot be removed due to technical reasons or is it like "not worth spending time on" cause very few players would come across it? Just asking.

I don't know.
If it bothers you, go into the preferences and shut off animation
