I don't know if this would gain currency with anyone but here's a minor suggestion for the drops from the forest animals.

Some of the snakes are more deadly in the forest. Once in a while they can be configured to drop a fang. The potion maker in Fallhaven can use that along with something (can't think of that) to make, let's say, a potion that can increase attack damage (by 5-6) or critical skill (by 10-15) for some 25 or 30 rounds. The potion maker should demand a reasonable gold too.

Or, the snakes could drop some real nice skin that can be traded for more value than mere meat. May be the tailor in Brimhaven could use that skin to turn that into useful clothing for those who play with Monk style build.

Those reapers in the forest could be used to make a collector's item, say a ring that provides immunity of some sort. Not that it would be of any use for the player who can kill those reapers, but hey, it is something.

Nice to have a thread on this subject.

Snakes -- consumption item like a special meat with x4 multiplier restoring health, OR a special item for making a potion of any type, ex: removing weak poison effect, OR an ingredient for coating weapons, increasing their effectiveness; make this particular drop rare!

Broxwood -- existing drop can be used for improving resistance of any wearable item, OR mixing with a potion which grants a temporary BC boost? The current bark skin skill has a level cap, which is unfair IMO. Maybe this drop can help to increase DR further, while keeping the drop rate very low!

Pixies -- some sticky item type which can be used as an ingredient for a potion against protection from some annoying actor condition.

Hucklereapers -- some ingredient form to make unique potion useful for players with corpse eater skill which receives a boost (healing multiplier) after consuming for a limited duration.

Basically, for a change, and to make sullengard monster drops unique, the drop items can be used for following purposes:
1. Combine it with other items, or use as ingredient for making potion which can directly also boost specific SKILLS like corpse eater, hard hit, bark skin and more criticals for a limited duration with a reasonable number of rounds
2. Consumption item for restoring health, or protection against actor condition for a limited duration
3. Rare ingredients (low drop rate) for special effects or benefits when forged with weapons or wearable items at vilegard smith, or lodar

The snakes already dropped snake meat which is different than all of the other meat found in the world.

The things you guys are talking about are crafting item ideas that take a long time to construct and implement. They are doable, but they take time

Ah okay. I guess these can be left (to do items) for somebody who might help you guys out in the future. For now, I'll drop these time intensive suggestions since they do not help in getting us closer to Nor city or other big city maps.

Great ideas! Love the sort of practical value in using a (say, rare) venomous snake fang or such to then sell or--better yet--get crafted into something useful..potion, armor or whatever.

But also understand what Antison said re the time & effort it would take to implement, so maybe there's a middle ground?
I.e, implement 1 or 2 of the best + easiest suggestions? :P

The new snake-meat drop is cool, btw.
Also like & appreciate more items having little descriptions included..fleshes out, so to speak, each item. ;)

I understand the limitations of the team. Just sharing it for future considerations whenever team decides to bring some changes.

In the short run it is possible to simply replace a few drop items with other items pre-designed and available in game to offer any effects or use?

Regular meat is 2x, 12 rounds
Snake meat is 2x, 15 rounds

Don't forget to cook it to reduce its bitterness.

Poisoning is same for both.

I prefer (especially sweet) ice berries...
If something like that were available from the start, I'd go full vegan.
