The jackal is different. It doesn't respawn while resting. It is a one-time spawn after starting the quest.

I'm almost 100% sure that you guys have simply not found the jackal's hiding spots.

That's the problem right there. You didn't go through the complete dialogue with Deebo. There are two entries in the log required before you can go find the jackal.

The reason why I thought the pitchfork quest was bugged is because I definitely knew that I need to bring pitchfork and the only option that I had was that I don't know what it is for, which is not correct. Maybe, better line would be: "I am not allowed to take this pitchfork. I should ask the owner for permission." Or something similar.

Jackal quest was totally my fault. I didn't talk enough with Deboo.

Also, I must say that I am really enjoying scenery at the new park and tall trees in the forest

I also seem to have a bug in v0.8.1 (and .2).
In "beer bootlegging" I'm asking Dunla, after talking to Tharwyn. But he says I need to be an insider.
I guess this means, to be part of the thieves guild. But I did all the guild quests long ago.
