I get what you're saying to a certain extent but a solution would not be to add an extraordinary or legendary item.
The forest was always intended to be an isolated area owned by the wildlife. ie the Golden jackal as it is the apex predator of that forest.

The XP delivered by those monsters is not controlled by me or anybody else creating content. There's an algorithm built into the game engine that calculates the experience points based on the statistics and attributes of a monster.

And, with your kind permission, a request:
High level quests such as those in Sullengard are for high level players. It would be apt if the experience earned for completing them reflected that. Maybe 10x current experience rewards from the major missions in 8.1?
I think 10x experience might be a bit too much. More experience means more easier level ups, which would help a player to beef up far too easier against which the existing content offers challenge.

I'm hoping for integration of Sullengard (forest map primarily) into something that incentivizes a player to go there again in the future. Aside from onetime only Hunting the Hunter quest, there is not much incentive to venture into that maze/forest. The XP from the monsters there is good enough for a couple of times to venture into that forest, but it starts to get repetitive after a while just for the sake of XP only.

Consider Lodar's Maze per se. Once in a while I go to Lodar's place to stock up a couple of potions. That is incentive enough for me to go through the whole Maze and have fun (I don't take the shortcut tunnel route). I'm hoping that in the future something similar could be offered, because the forest is quite big and fun as a map, and it would be kind of a waste to not incentivize a player to revisit it every once in a while.

Perhaps adding an extraordinary or legendary item there might help.
Mayhaps if 10x is too much, perhaps 5x. Will leave it to the discretion of the Devs, of course. But appreciate if there was some thinking on these lines.

It's too late to change the XP. Anyone that has completed the quests would not get the benefit. I understand what you are saying, but in this case what was done is done.

Responding to XP from high level quests. If it's hard coded then perhaps change the quick learner skill to link them with XP from quests? Currently it applies to only monsters XP.

Nut wrote: Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:37 pm Hello fellow adventurers,

it took a while - much longer than we planned - but it was worth the wait:
  • We have a big update with 71 new maps and 6 new quests for you!
  • 3 Additions from Guru-meditation-No42:
    • Kill count summed up for monsters with same name (a minor irritation)
    • Show kills of monsters in monster stat view (often requested)
    • Controller support (not yet tested)
  • Also we modernized the engine (Many thanks to OMGeeky), so that you can now use the current Android Studio version to create the APK.
This will be easier for new developers, and it should enable F-Droid to publish Andor's Trail again!
Enough reason to start a new release number: v0.8

There is a big new area and a new city called Sullengard to the southeast - follow the Duleian road, you can't miss it. But beware, the beasts are really dangerous!! Don't venture there too early or you'll find yourself waking up in a bed more often than you want...

On your way to Sullengard you may find two quests
  • "Hunting the hunter"
  • "Getting home on time"
Look for these two quests in Sullengard:
  • "Pond safety"
  • "Recovering stolen property"
The following two quests are found elsewhere:
  • "Beer Bootlegging" starts at the Foaming flask
  • "Another ruthless Crackshot" not only sounds like thieves affairs, so ask at the Guild.
I won't tell more about the quests, I trust you to find out yourself - it's more fun after all.

We imported the new translations, many languages are at 93% now. That would have been 100%, if we hadn't added the new quests.
This is great - thanks to all the translators!

Maybe you will notice that a few already translated texts seem to be lost and displayed in English again. This has technical reasons which could not be avoided - sorry for the inconvenience.

Enough words - here is is the link to the new release: https://andorstrail.com/static/AndorsTrail_v0.8.1.apk
Have fun!

Google Play and Itch will follow soon, and hopefully F-Droid too.
im so excited. ty!

Finish it? You either drown or you don't. What is there to finish?
