Hello fellow adventurers,

we fixed a bug in the last Andor's Trail release that could result into unloadable savegames.
These savegames should work normally now, so that you could start the Delivery at last :)

Here is the link to the new version: https://andorstrail.com/static/AndorsTrail_v0.7.17.apk

(Google Play and Itch will follow in a few days, unfortunately we still can't provide a version for F-droid)

We wouldn't tell you about an Easter egg anyway. If we did, it wouldn't be an Easter egg. So maybe Nut is telling the truth. Or maybe not

Btw. there are still some little nice details in the game, that I have never seen mentioned here in forum. Some might call them Easter Egg. Well, maybe they are hidden too well...

Can the developers consider increasing %chance of poison gland drops from the reptiles and others?

It is currently between 1% - 5% range, which is way too low.

A few snake, lizard and frog varieties also have at max 30% chance only.

Ideally, 30% should be default for poisonous reptiles while a select few should have at least 50% chance of dropping poison gland.

It is an ingredient for antidote but the grinding required to collect poison glands compared to animal hair or meat drops is quite time consuming

Why that? Is it for the benefit of a better price in trading? Then I'd rather not fiddle with the droprates but I'd prefer a more comfortable way to trade meat for snakeskin leather purses (i.e. a batch of 5 to 10 purses for the equivalent in meat).

Ever since I got the recovery skill I never had any fear of dying from food poisoning. Although one of my characters died because I was down to 1HP when I decided to have some paleo-lunch... Keeping track of your HP and finding a safe place to eat really saves you from the need of antidote.

Just my 2 cents.
Have fun staying alive!

I mentioned it. For antidote against food poisoning. I keep the stock of this potions before venturing out for grinding. But the way poison glands %chance is set it makes it almost like a precious commodity unlike other useless junk with a higher %chance of drop range

What I want to say is that to me there's multiple tactics.
With your stats you should never be in real danger.
Quaffing 3 potions of health will compensate for the 10 HP loss and 20HP not given. That's one round of move/attack loss more than with the antidote.
Meat and potions of health are available in abundance.
You could trade meat for cooked meat. That may be a little time consuming since the traders don't have much stock.
I resorted to recovery, which compensates for the loss in HP.
Plus I'm grinding for RoLS, which will benefit my recovery rate.
Entered the cave at lvl28, used some 15 meat for the rest of the time simply waiting for the buggers to respawn made me recover to full health again.
Rapier of Lifesteal may become a friend as well. Takes some grinding though.
I see, that the antidote ist something nice to have. Since there are other ways to deal with food poisoning i'd simply not go for the antidote.
Happy hunting

It's about roleplaying, esp in the beginning levels when you can't afford to stock up cooked meats or potions. You can get food poisoning from other sources other than meat, which are also useful to roleplay. I don't want to go into the details and play spoilers.

Given the increasing number of items having food poisoning effect, esp after a couple of recent updates, there's a strong case for increasing the drop rates of poison glands, as well!

So that players who wish to roleplay using antidote feature can enjoy without wasting hours into grinding for it.

Balanceing is required
