Climbing up is forbidden - am I missing something?

Hi. I'm trying to complete this quest. I have empty bottles in my inventory, but somehow I can't use them at the spring of water in the dungeon. Is there a bottle somewhere else I'm supposed to find?

You need the empty bottles sold by the Fallhaven merchant

Thanks. However, I feel that it's a bug that my inventory can contain empty bottles, and not be able to progress.

I'm now at the stage of having returned to Elm mine, after going to Blackwater Mountain and reporting to the soldiers but I can't find the soldiers or the guy I'm looking for. Did I miss something again?

The soldiers are
not at the Elm mine yet. That's why you should find them and tell them to go there

I did actually do that. They left the area in front of the tunnel where they were guarding. But they are not in Elm mine. The guy inside the mine has seen them, but I can't find them

Did you already persuade the guy (Arghest I think) to let you into the mine?

No. Not getting that option. He is asking for a potion from Lodar - but I assume then I must complete the lost potion quest

Bother. I was afraid of that. I'm still not strong enough to take on that beast in the tomb. Back to grinding again.....

If you aren't strong enough for the Lodar caves yet, then you would be extremely unhappy in the Elm mine :D
