Is Marrowtaint an evil equipment？

I am playing a permadeath monk, who aims to follow the way of justice, so i decide to let her finish all the quest in AT with making
righteous choices.
Then there will be a serious problem:
Who you like more？ A young monk who make a regrettable choice, or a wise monk who has seen through all the things？

Maybe his wiser to have good reputation in Remgard than get involved in any way with the crazy old rats lady and / or her possessions.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, The Marrowtaint is hands down the best item in the game. And as such, I will never turn it down. Damn the consequences.
