How not to lose Lifetaker[SPOILER]

Lifetaker is a 4AP cost weapon that you can obtain while doing the Mine for the Taking quest and you'll have to give to Hagale or kill him but for me I don't want to kill him.Actually there is three ways to not lose it.Thanks to CHUCHULAINN3 and blueblack_star for telling me about the other ways.
1.
Sell then Buy
2.
Drop then Pick
3.
Talk then Leave
And done you didn't lose your Lifetaker

How do you buy it from her again when she never sold it?

You can buy it again when sell it to her but it will disappear when you sleep

Yeah but When you talk to him again he will fight you and I don't like that.I like it when he say's With this money I can rebuild my life.

I did it I still have the saved file. When he originally asks you for it, you exist of the dialogue without a response. I had it happen on four characters

1.Sell the sword to Lowyna(don't sleep after you sold it).
2.Talk to Hagale and tell him you sold it.
3.Give him 1000 Gold.
4.Buy the sword again to Lowyna.
And done you completed the quest without killing him and without losing the Lifetaker.
When it gets to this part you exit out of it.
