It just means you don't have that unsightly yellow and red loot bag sitting there every time you go to that map. Then again, that bag is easy to spot when you actually want the contents

Tho may need to booby-rig it in case Feyguard Stasi jackboots try to confiscate it..

Yes. A curiosity of the game. You can leave 100,000 gold next to a highwayman, and he will try to rob you, but never pick up what is there for free

I haven't gone that far but I have all my characters to never use food drinks nor potions just regeneration and HP from weapons and items
