Will next version be savegame compatible?

It really bugs me to think that all of my hardwork could be gone with the next big update
And I know, I know
It COULD take long for 0.8 to come out so I might enjoy my time and it would bring more early game quests but those can be done with our old characters..
I really hope its savegame compatible

As long as you don't manually manipulate the file in such a way that it makes it incompatible you should be fine.

You only have to worry about betas. From release to release should be fine.
