Because Olwyn's curse can only be obtained late game. The number of attacks you can get per round varies as the game progresses, and therefore in some cases so does the modifier.

I found other way to use Giant flail as a weapon without any potion
I used Axe of whirlwind, and got Minor speed for 3 round (Raises max AP +2) after killing an enemy (5%Chance) then I equipped Giant Flail and because I had 15maxAP I could use it... for 2rounds
possible but not really convenient
This can also be used with stiletto

Giant flail is one handed so if you are a dual wielder can use axe of whirlwind+Flail haha. Thats an insane combo everytime a mob is killed you got two shots of those.

No you can't... because you have to get axe of whirlwind's effect, which is minor speed. And you have only 5% chance to have it by killing an enemy. So you have to kill enemies with axe of whirlwind, then you get the speed for 3 rounds, then you can use giant flail. but you can't use it dual wielded with axe of whirlwind

Yea is still not viable. You can equip but it wont attack. Hope at some point we can get another AP. Imagine a dual weild giant flail pretty high AD, its impossible tho

yeah i really hope the same ! imagine an armor which grants +1AP max... only designed for giant's flail
it could be really nice.

Swinging it must be really hard, and therefore evading it easy, since it's use is so sluggish.
The armor should have -150 AC as a stat as well (or more
)
