With 7 championships in 11 years from the 4 professional sports teams and at least one from each if the 4 over the last 7 years makes Boston "Title Town"!!

I think I've been hearing that your Red Sox set a new record this year, though. Something about blowing the largest end-of-season lead ever in the major leagues?
(Sorry, just couldn't resist that.

)

Lady Black,
How are your Cubs doing? Has their World Series drought reached 100 years yet?
And by the way, you guys aren't getting Theo from us either.

Yeah, goat. Your Tigers just advanced to the pennant round of the playoffs by beating the Yankees, and the Lions have won all four of their games so far this year! Of course, that will end on Monday night when my Bears beat your Lions--I hope. That is quite a turn-around for a team that lost every game just two years ago!
So tek, you'll have to ask sdevaney about his Cubs, and you may hear about a certain foul ball and fan interference a few years back. Whereas my White Sox won the World Series around 5-7 years ago. And the Black Hawks brought home the Stanley Cup year before last. The Bears took their second trip to the Super Bowl a few years ago, although they did not win it this time. The Bulls had the Michael Jordan years, not all that long ago. Shortly after the Larry Byrd years for your Celtics, wasn't it? I think Chicago can scrape up a few bragging rights of its own, even if not quite as many as Boston. I felt my post was quite moderate in tone, much more so than your original post claiming dominance in every major US sport. Things do have a way of changing very quickly in the sports world, as both your Red Sox and goat's Lions have demonstrated this year. It is not necessarily wise to crow too loudly when things are going well.

Since no one has brought it up yet, I WILL mention how Dallas just won the NBA championship and is working their way throught the Card's lineup to take our first World Series title. The FC Dallas Soccer team is again in the playoffs as well. (I however am not holding my breath for the Cowboys!)
