Been a while since I posted, I'm primarily a lurker. However, there are two things that have bugged me for a while, and I'm not sure if that was the intention with how things are set up.
1) I like using the d pad to move my character, limits my hands from blocking the screen. However, there are times when I tap "just" outside the d pad and my character moves in a direction I didn't want them to (nearly killed me a couple of times). My suggestion is to add an option for d pad only, preventing random screen touches from affecting movement. Hope that makes sense.
2) This one I'm not sure if it is by design. I select for a notification to show up when getting items or the selection of a short notification, but I receive no notifications. I want to know when I get items, but don't want to have to click to take an item every time - I can move through battles quicker, but then know if I got the drop I need without looking in my inventory every few fights. Not sure if it is just broken for me, or if this needs to be addressed.
Thank you all for the hard work in making this game still one of my favorites years later! It is really appreciated.

I think (1) is a good suggestion. It should probably be the default. I'll have to look into (2).

For 2), we have to change the notification system anyway, as it crashes some devices when too many of them are triggered in a short time (it's an android bug).

I've just finished a local build that blocks movement from touch when the dpad is enabled.

- Should the old behavior be supported as an option, or simply removed?
- When the dpad is enabled but minimized, should touch-based movement automatically reactivate? I'm not sure what dpad minimization is useful for, so I don't know how best to handle it.
