JoF not working

I enjoy playing AT.
It's an interesting world.

I got the jewel of fallhaven thinking it would reduce my AP when attacking.

It does not seem to reduce AP as advertised. Is this a bug as I think it is? Am I reading JoF it incorrectly.
===========================================================================================
I didn't pay attention to the AP since I was able to move through AT without too much difficulty.

I managed to get to Lodar's house, but it wasn't easy and I used many BM potions on the way in to Lodar's house. I'm working on "The Way Out is Through" and I do not think I can make it out with current save. (If I fall unconscious I'll wake up in Lodar's house)

Had extra time so I looked at my AP and I notice that the my AP is not down by one)
(Feel little silly since I'm at lvl 51 and only now notice issue with JoF not working.

It reduces your weapon's AP cost. Example, If your weapon cost is 5AP, then the JoF makes it 4ap.

Your base attack cost is 4, your attack cost with equipment is 3. Where's the problem?

I guess my confusion is from looking at the weapon information.
BW dagger
Rare
Category dagger
ACost: 3
AChance: 40
AD: 1
Increase BC by 5
BW misery

My understanding is that the dagger has an ACost of 3. With JoF it would go to 2

I thought that it would lower the ACost of any weapon by 1.

Thanks for the explanation.

Just experimented. Removed everything with BW misery and put the QSD on.
It had a AP of 2 instead of regular AP of 3.

Thanks to all for quick replies.

Well if this isnt a typo then you really are confused bro. JoF will reduce AC (attack cost) and not AP (Action points)
It is a nightmare if JoF reduce AP

Actually, you've gotten confused. AP is Action Points, and JoF reduces the number of AP required to attack, not the number available to you. Yes, that's overpowered. AC is Attack Chance, which is likelihood to hit on a given swing, which JoF does not affect.

Well there are really 2 ACs

The Attack cost
And the Attack chance

The abbreviation for the first one was invented by me😂😂😂 sorry for that

We could use A$, M$, and E$ for attack cost, movement cost and equip cost respectively.
