Rare Equipment Trader

People have accidentally sold some rare items.

My suggestion is to create a 'rare items' trader in one of the bigger cities, who acquire the rare items that are sold, and offer them for resale.

Ex. I sold the venomous dagger, and I really want it back. I make my way all the way to Nor city and find the rare trader, and buy it back.

That's an interesting idea for how we can get our "accidentally" sold unique items back, I like it.

It looks like if there were a list of unique items sold we wish we could get back, Venomous Dagger would be #1 by a wide margin.

Either that or, if its not too difficult or time consuming, Oskar could add a code into the next update that sees which quests have been completed, and restores any missing unique items gained from that quest to the player's inventory, and then makes it so unique items can't be sold. I can dream, right?

I also like this idea. I think that the prices should be higher than normal, though, and the store would have to offer each player only those unique items he has already earned and sold and now wants back. No buying the ring of lesser shadow without already having gotten one (much as I would love to go buy one).

Actually, since the RoLS isn't unique, just very rare, I would love to be able to buy it somewhere. It could even be for a ridiculously exorbitant price, like say 20-30k gold pieces, which would still require a lot of time to get, but in my case, not as much time as getting the actual ring (still don't have one).

Just "bumping" this thread in a chance to get an [O]fficial answer.

I would concur that having a "rare/legendary/unique" merchant would be awesome. Even if you just added these items to the shady-merchants in the Inns would be good. Definitely something I want to see if a future update. I think it's important for those who sold off early weapons without knowing that (a) you have a "basket" at your house to store stuff, and/or (b) what the best ways to build your character are, so they sold the items thinking they weren't good.

Or for those who have gotten the posted amount of small rocks or w/e, to purchase that item with said rocks or poisons? 2500 rocks is no small task, and not getting the item is highly discouraging at that point, so this way its not in vein of their troubles.

That amount of rocks does not mean you will get item. All that means is that most people that have gotten one, got it around that number of rocks.

I understand that, hence using that number to exchange for the rols or w/e since it would take so long...
