What if in v 1.0 an NPC gets introduced, that asks for the ring. The NPC is positioned at Feygard front gate.
Andor instructed that guard to permanenty close that gate for any imposter of his brother. Proof of being Andor`s Bro is to present the ring.
There is an alternative way, all the way up to Remgard, through the Troll cave, into the garden that lays behind it. There, you can find a previously undetected hatch. Going through the tunnel below the hatch (with super scary, tough and swarming mobs) you get into a new forest and mountain area, roughly 127 maps long, and no monsters at all. Quite boring, but it leads to the Feygard backdoor, which is unguarded. Finally you get into the city. You`ll be able to tall to Andor, finish the last quest and win the game regardless of all other decisions you have previously made.
*Alternatively*
You`re able to present rhe ring. You`re let through and immediately Andor approaches you. He`ll tell you that you have been watched closely.
IF you have decided exactly the same way Andor would have for each choice possible in the game, you`ll win the game. One deviation, and he`ll randomky select one of the wrong choices, call out "Traitor! You did *enter random event mistake*", stab you and let you bleed to death. After all, he is your evil twin
Finding out which are Andor approved decisions can be done, but hints are hidden very well in different places and NPC dialogues. Ending the game with this shortcut can be done, but decisions will be shuffled for each run, so non-repeatable. Effort must be made.
Chosing this end would be the only way, though, to progress into the next higher difficulty mode. You get to keep your gold, grinded items and your proficiencies (only at lvl 1 though), get reset to a lvl 1 character, but enough xp to start at lvl 25, and can start over again.
If you`re lucky, Andor approved decisions have changed, and you may select differently, gather different awards (and over time get the feather hat and the marrowtaint, etc.).
Wouldn`t that be fun?
Therefore, would you rather keep or lose the ring?
But then again,
WHAT IF
the ring just does nothing and crumbles to dust after finding Andor, and your dad just gives you an accusing stare when getting back for not having his ring anymore (either way, your fault or not)
OR WHAT If
it is completely irrelevant, and you start over fresh now...
