Humble GameDev Bundle

Found the latest Humble Bundle seems to include at least a couple of interesting pieces of software. The first is at the $1 level called Pyxel Edit might be of interest to those artists and creative types. Also 1password is a great password manager. I actually set up my family on a plan earlier in the year when the service rolled out. It really helps keep everyone sorted with their individual passwords and that of course saves me time and sanity .

I use KeePass for password management. It's free (which I always like), and open source (which I especially like for a password manager). It's configurable, has lots of plugins, and you can have as many databases as you like. There are versions for Windows, including one that runs off a thumb drive so you don't have to install it, Linux, Android, Max OS X, and iPhone (although an iPhone does not run AT, so who cares about that one anyway ).

If you like 2D animation, Spriter looks great, but you can also try Krita, which is free software, available for Linux and Windows. Its core feature, though, is to act as a very capable Adobe Painter alternative with some of Photoshop's DNA too.
Works great with Wacom tablets too.
