A few of us are software engineers. Another is a successful business owner. We've had students. We've had a hotel worker. etc.
You don't need to be an engineer to help contribute to this project.

Build quests, maps, beta testing, just to name our top three needs.

When you say Building Quests, is that just talking about ideas?
Maps, as in we make them how?
Beta testing, is that dangerous to our saved files?

Copy the savegames and the worldmap folder to a PC, and never overwrite an existing save. Then the beta test is safe.
Just NEVER try a beta when you play a permadeath or one-save game!

If that's what you want to do, but I am actually talking about writing the quest. Integrating into the GitHub repository.
Or you could write it in a text editor and submit it to one of us in a DM.

Map = Learning the Tiled app and building the actually visual content. Ie towns, roads, etc
