Hi folks,

it's amazing, I have installed Android on an EeePc 1000H and now I can play Andor's Trail on a Netbook. ;) ;) ;)

Maybe it is not the best use for an old netbook, but it's better than running XP.
(Imho Ubuntu Mate is the OS of choice).

Mouse support is not great on Android. For such a laptop, I'd consider lxbuntu over mate, or even a lighter distro, as Ubuntu have a tendency to be resource hungry.
Great you can play AT though. Are you using the android-x86.com release ?

Mate is okay (the GNOME2 forc runs even on a raspi 2). Unity is not an option any more, especialy since 15.04.
KDE3 was my favourity desktop in the time when OpenSUSE was known as SUSE Linux. So bad that the KDE3 fork didn't really made it.

Yes, the v 4.4.2 release, since I failed totally with v 4.4.3.
It has some issues, the Bluetooth pairing failed to reconnect with my smart phone. Had to repairing again before I could send further data. But with XP there was no data transfer possible at all.
Baldurs Gate EE crashes 100% of the time on startup.
The system configuration may drives one crazy, but after a while and a little knownledge even my German keyboard layout is working. Imagine a strong password on a QWERTZ keyboard with a running QWERTY layout... A new definition of hell?

But Andors Trail is running, mouse is working - true, great is something different...

Heh. I use AT with a mouse a lot, in VMs on my dev PCs.
Speaking of keyboard hell for passwords, imagine typing on a UK QWERTY keyboard plugged in a French AZERTY OS to access a remote session to a US QWERTY configured OS... Takes some practice and muscle memory will handle the rest... sometimes.

to keep it simple: you're a hero. ;) ;) ;)

My colleges were all cursing when we had to use the wrong keyboard layout for a week...
