Stats and Skills Questions

Hi! Newbie here! Just started yesterday. :)

Currently at XP15k (not sure what level that is). I have not used my stats points since I placed my first 4 points to "Increase Attack Damage" and 1 skill point on Magic Finder.

I was wondering what stats should I invest in and what skills should I get?

Thank you :D

Get at least 1 level of Increased Fortitude (and preferably more then 1). Get both levels of Combat Speed. I would also strongly recommend getting 1 level of Regeneration, which can be a life saver if you run out of potions. Other than those, it depends on what kind of build you want.

Welcome liz7! This game is great because there are so many choices one can make. Check out the previous comments for some great advice. Lots of people get one or more levels of Increased Fortitude and then never bother to put any level ups into HP, I am one of those. :-)
Oh, and be sure to save often!

I am at level 16 now thanks to the guide!:D

I am still a little confused at what skills to get. I have gotten Increased Fortitude and Regeneration. What should I get after that? I plan to Dual Wield but I can't seem to take advantage of it until level 30.

Also I have put all of my stats into AD, is that okay?

you can have»

1.corpse eater, it heals 1HP per kill multiplied by level of skill.

2.bark skin, but you will need BC=30% (base combat statics)

3.you can save the skill point which you get at lvl 16 and and get IF2 at lvl 20 and the skill point you get at lvl20 can be used to get regenerarion skill2.(but to get IF2 you will need 60HP)

and if you do the 3rd point then next save the skill points you get at lvl 24 and lvl 28 and use these to get CS2.

as you have put all the lvlups in increasing AD, you should go for dagger and shield type build because AD more than 10 combined with quickstrike dagger,Jof, a good shield(like tower shield), villains armour and cowatd shoes alongwith rings that increase AD too (like ring of protector, villains ring) is also a deadly combination.

wish you goodluck for the hard decisons you are going to make  .

If you look at this thread, page 3, natexxx explains his thoughts on putting lots of stat points into AD, and I can't say that I disagree, I mean if you can do serious dmg, it doesn't matter what your BC is!
As for skills, some cannot be taken until a certain level, like the 2nd one for combat speed and dual wield, so what I do is don't take combat speed or dual wield at all until level thirty and I save up a few skill points so I can invest them at that time. So, you are doing dmg and probably killing things quickly, perhaps try taking corpse eater, it gains you one hp each time.
Oh, and cleave is a pretty cool skill and you need at least one weapon accuracy and one hard hit before you can take cleave, so you may wanna go that route.

edit: also look at this skill tree, it tells you what the requirements are.
