Hello translators !

I will use this thread to make announcements that you may find of interest:
- New content available for translation in launchpad
- Changes to the reference "strings.xml" (the english one)
- Anything else that may be of interest to you

So, along with this new thread, I announce a feature requested by our German translation team: the world map locations are now translatable in Launchpad. It could take a while for Launchpad to synchronize, so be patient.

Hello translators !

Some good news for you:
- Latest launchpad translations are now included on the Google Code git repository (2014-05-28 22:16 UTC)
- strings.xml and strings_about.xml for PL updated. Thanks to DanielS. Closes GCode issues #354 & #355.

A bad one: I still haven't access to the admin console of the Launchpad project, so I can't include the latest content to translate in there. The world map locations are therefore not translatable this way yet. Sorry. The development team is doing all it can to get this matter solved as fast as possible.

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but not new to the game.
The German translation is sometimes a bit awkward.
So I want to volunteer as a German translator to make the game more enjoyable.
Do I need a special programm or is MS Excel enogh? I could even translate and update the equipment list.

page 17 of the "Translation in German" thread contains some links to descriptions of the translation process:

As you can see on the same page, the translation is finished for now, waiting to be released.
Of course you could still do some proofreading or make acquaintance of the system to help translating future content.
All help will be welcome once some new stuff is published.

Hello translators.

We are in the process of phasing out the Launchpad translation platform, and moving to Weblate.
I thereby kindly ask you not to translate on launchpad anymore.

I will update all the relevant threads this week, and will merge the Launchpad translation in weblate for the last time next week.

If possible, I'll change all translations to a link to Weblate.

FYI I locked the weblate translations for now, so you cannot make new or improved translations.

I am in the process of updating weblate's data with v0.7.2 strings. This proved a bit more painful than I initially thought, and I messed up a bit. I'll fix it all, don't worry.

Some existing translations will be edited due to changes in the existing English text.
When a translation is prefixed by [REVIEW], it means that the English text changed slightly, and you should make sure that it still fits, or change it accordingly. Remove that tag afterwards. Even if you don't, the translation will be shown to the players.
When one is prefixed by [OUTDATED], it means that the English text changed a lot, but that the existing translation was worth preserving. Change it and remove the tag. Translations tagged this way will NOT be displayed in-game. The English text will be used.

I am trying to make the transition as smooth as possible, while preserving your past work as much as possible. I hope you'll think I succeeded in this regard.

I just unlocked the weblate translation. It is now allowing translation of the v0.7.2 strings!
