I upgrade 8 levels to gain two skill points, but spent on Dual wield.
The off-hand weapon dosen't deserve two skill points, if i spend level-up on AC, AT and skill points on Weapon Accuracy.
It could be better than XX Critical skills, but that's not my way.
Hold two Quickstrik daggers is just like fool.
The Fighting styles shoule be able to remove or reduce the bad effect of weapons of that style.
The Quickstrike dagger is the WORST weapon in the game to duel wield. Using 2 is actually worse than using one, with one you can at least use a shield and try to counteract the negative effects to your BC.
If you are going with Sword and Shield Style, the QSD is the best.
If you are going with Duel wielding, I'd recommend looking for something like the Balanced Steel Sword
Keep building, it'll get better. You'll also want to get the Duel Wielding Specialization skill. Once you have that and both skill points in Duel Wielding Fighting Style, then it's much more worth it. You can then also stack that with the One Handed Sword Proficiency skill (if you're equipped with swords) or the Dagger Proficiency skill (if you prefer daggers) - you'll gain access to these skill opens after completing a quest.
Once you have those maxed out, your duel wielding become amazing. You'll also need to choose the correct sword or daggers for it.
If you have a sword preference, two Balanced Steel Swords is the best combo (can purchase these in cross roads guard house after completing a quest).
If you're into a Critical Skill focused character, then Dagger of Shadow Priest + another dagger (with good critical skill, such as Villain's Blade or Blade of Defiler) is best.
If you're speed (low attach cost) favored, then 2 x Quickstrike Daggers is great (although they don't have very good attack damage).
If you spend the time to grind for a Rapier of Lifesteak, then do one of those with a balanced steel sword.
IMO, if you are into dual welding then since One Handed Sword Proficiency and Dagger Proficiency don't cost skill points (they do of course cost, but not skill points) it's a good idea to get both. My main weapon set is DotSP and BSS. A second dagger with a critical skill gets you very little damage, limited AC, and the extra critical skill makes only a very small difference to the effective critical chance (take me as an example: with DotSP I have a CS of 47, which gives an ECC of 25%. Thye most any other weapon can add to the CS is 10, which raises my ECC to only 28%). The BSS, on the other hand increases your damage by 3-7, and if you have both Specialization Dual Wield and One Handed Sword Proficiency, it increases your AC by 57%.
You get one of each (Weapon, Armour) of the Proficiency skills for free after completing the quest. After, however, if you want some of the other Proficiency stills, it costs 1 Oegyth Crystal + 5000 (or 6000) gold for each.
Each of these skill, however, can be upgraded through the normal skill point channel - so yes, to max them out, you need skill points.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Yes, you are right. Mostly I had forgotten that you get the first level in one weapon proficiency and one armor proficiency for free. The cost to get the first level in another proficiency skill is 5000gp and 2 Oegyth crystals though. So if you have Dagger Proficiency you can get the first level in One Handed Sword Proficiency for 5000gp and 2 Oegyth crystals. My point was that if you go for dual wielding that's worth it, because it does not cost you a skill point and then you can use both swords and daggers. Getting a second level of any of those skills requires skill points, and so far I have decided that's not worth it.
Actually I think so.
Dual wield specialization increase att & block chance however I do think dual wield specualization and weaponandshield specialization swithed each other.
I also spend 2 skill points into dual wield style and currently using flagstone pride and villain blade but sadly not much one handed weapon do not have block chances on them.
