Fun idea

I really enjoy the overall game style of AT, and it's made me wonder why there are not more like it.
It got me wondering how fun a modern, unusual game along similar lines could be - those who know of it, I immediately thought of Earthbound. I just might have to take a crack at it when I have a working computer again.
Am I the only one who'd be psyched for something like that?
