Potentially if someone dares to port it.
Core team focuses solely on Android, but someone made a BlackBerry port.
Who knows what the future will be ?

It can be done, as Zukero said, would take some time and effort.
Opening Andor's Trail to new markets would be great!
Barracuda777, are you using a windows phone?

One Question:
So if Andor's Trail isn't imported onto W8, you have to choose between an operating system and Andor's Trail?

It would sure seem like it. Albeit a sad sad reality.
if anyone wants to take up the task of porting andors trail toba whole new emerging market you can pick up a Lumia 520 for 99 bucks in the USA or 150 in Canada, international probably somewhere in between.
andors trail on wp8 would greatly benefit both parties

Hey Barracuda777, havent heard from you in a while.

The idea doesn't seem too far fetched. Now only if I had a WP ...

Oh if only someone would send me the winning numbers to the upcoming lottery....
I gotta say the Widow's Phones do look kinda neat, despite being Andor's trail-less.

Re: andors trail for windows phone 8 ?
Hey, I've been around. before I was mulling over getting a low end android. I ultimately decided to go with the Lumia 520 from Nokia running windows phone 8. Since then I've updated to Windows Phone 8 gdr3 developer preview. This little phone is great it performs better with 512mb of ram than most androids do with 1 gig.
I chose this phone over the android mainly because of the dual core snapdragon S4 plus vs a single core snapdragon S2
and a adreno 305 vs an adreno 205 in the android
oh and the fact that it was only 150 outright lol
also uzahoor I sent you a few emails awhile ago you never responded
it would be great to get more solid games like this one on the windows phone platform. As I don't think I will be switching back to android ever. Well I might get a nexus 7 2013 for Christmas but who knows.
would it be a lot of work to get AT on windows phone 8 ?

Re: andors trail for windows phone 8 ?
I guess Uzahoor ported AT to Blackberry using the native compatibility layer : Blackberry provides tools to repackage android apps as blackberry ones, with little to no code effort.
As far as I know, Windows Phone 8 provides no such compatibility layer.
However :
The C# code + XAML GUI definition system in WP8 is rather close (in terms of concepts and capabilities) to the Java code + XML GUI definition system used for android apps.
The C# language, although a bit different from Java in terms of syntax, is quite similar (MS hired to creators of Java to create C# for their first .NET release)
Microsoft provides an API mapping database online that helps identify which WP8 SDK function corresponds to which Android SDK function.
So, in terms of work quantity, you'd have to rewrite the whole code, but this is mostly a "mechanical" job (lots of blog posts and help available from microsoft and others), no huge headache planned for most of the code (I'd say around 90% should be a no-brainer).
You'd have to rewrite the UI layout (Android XML -> WP8 XAML), but these are not a huge amount in AT, and they're mostly typical UI usage. Moreover, they don't change much over time.
The tough points would be :
- The main game drawing routines (draw a map, player, NPCs... efficiently).
- The resource loading and localization system (at least the low level part).
- Keep up with the changes in the android code (every time something changes in Android AT, you'll have quite some work to do to port them to WP8).
I'd say it would take a full month of work for someone with good knowledge of WP8, and basic knowledge of android, to make a first working version of AT on WP8.
Long story short : it's a lot of work, and it'd better be done once AT reaches v1.0, unless you want to keep porting and porting and porting....
