Hello all,

[UPDATE] 9/27/13 - It looks as though the move of the forums is complete. I have yet to check everything so if you guys come across some bugs let me know. The other parts of the site such as the wiki, task manager, etc will be restored individually as I get to them. I felt the most important thing was to get the forums back up ASAP. Please reply here if you guys notice any wonkyness.

[UPDATE] 9/25/13 - Long story short we are going to be moving again due to some technical limitations of the new platform we were migrated to. I am moving andorstrail.com to its' own server. This however unlike last time will require a bit of downtime for the site when I make the switch. Friday evening September 27th 2013 I will put the boards into maintenance mode and begin the move. Check back periodically throughout the day Saturday and at some point and time I will have everything moved.

On 9/16/13 @ ~8:00 AM EST I will be migrating everything to a better server. The process shouldn't take longer than a day and everything should continue to function as normal although on the day of the migration there may be a post or two that get lost if you post at the exact same time I happen to be mirroring the database.

PM me to let me know if you guys notice anything strange on the 16th or for the next few days after.

Thanks,
Scott

Good luck on that migration.
Hope you'll be able to raise the mysql connection pool size. Seen a few errors about that lately.
I'll report any issue seen on that day and the next !

Hello all,

The server migration was successful and went smoother than I thought it would. Keep an eye out for anything strange.

Thanks,
Scott

It may just be me being crazy, but it seems like it made quite a noticeable improvement

The loading & rendering speed has been has been really slow the last two days.

Last weeks I submitted a couple of posts that never showed up in the thread, or at least I wasn't able to see it. But I think it was posted based off of other's subsequent replies as they looked to be responding to me, but not conclusively so I'm not sure the posts made it.

That was happening to me before this latest server was implemented.... very strange. I was also having a lot of hiccups with my keyboard on the old server.

Me too. In fact, I'm still seeing these keyboard "hiccups". I thought it was my tablet!! I'm happy that I'm not the only one.

Scott,

hiccup= when posting below a quoted message I often get the cursor moved to somewhere within the middle of the quoted text. A lot of the time its within the user's name. So I and up modifying there message by mistake. Very frustrating. It was happening 15 minutes ago so I rebooted my tablet and all has been fine since so I'm not sure that it is the forum app or server.
