Andor’s Trail Project Meeting #35
2013-08-25
Present: Oskar Wiksten (oskar.wiksten), Stephen Stalnaker (ctnbeh13), Matthew White (nyktos), Ian Haase (Ian), & Tom Jobes (Tomcat).

1. Follow-up from last meeting:
Go over previous meetings TODO’s.

2. Completed since the last meeting:
Added some waterfall tiles (thanks red hatter!)
(Briefly discuss his/her process, if known, to better understand if we have something to learn, or possibly something to offer. ~ SCS)

Updated “Development environment” tutorial:

Conversations can switch “active NPC”, thus enabling us to have conversations where other NPC’s can join the conversation. Must be on the same map.

Added “world time”, only used for creating and checking timers in scripts. Scripts can now trigger after a certain time has elapsed. Will be useful for conversations like “Return to me in a while, once I’m done with …”.

Fallhaven map alignment by Tomcat.

3. Things that are being worked on:
Player survey

Elythara quest - Ian/Stan/Oskar

Stoutford & BWM realign - Tom
TODO: Tom, create list quest stages for the quests that we have planned.
TODO: Oskar: send link to name generator to Tom

Mt. Galmore - Ian

Zukero working on quest and map content.

Andor’s Trail content submission guide; generally speaking, if I could have the assistance of a forum administrator or moderator, to organize and compile all of the forum help and suggestion related topics that are sprinkled in here and there to be found under one heading, the guide itself would be much more comprehensive. Regardless, having this subset of detailed information should be extremely helpful/beneficial to all. ~ SCS

Updated screenshots for Google Play
We really should update the screenshots that we have on Google Play:

New screenshots should include
- The new layout of tabs on the hero screen (ICS-ified interface)
- Show a screenshot where you have actor conditions
- List of skill selection, with “you may select 1 skill...”
- Visual effect running (damage or heal)
- Nasty but good-looking monster (Hira’zinn?)
- Tablet-sized layout

Combat log will probably show potion usage and actor condition affliction in the future.

6. What should we have ready for the next meeting?
Matthew: Working on flavor texts for items, and some quest ideas for some NPCs.

Ian: Fantastic timing on the new map making tutorials. I just downloaded Tiled again and am starting to play around with making maps. I hope i won't have to bother with too many questions. =)

I have not seen Stan around the forums, is he still working on the Elythara questline, or is he too busy with life?

I saw from another Meeting Page there is something with Vampires in the works? Can i ask who is working on that? I had a few ideas to share.
1) Vampires could only be killed when a Stake is equipped
2) If a player eats Garlic (Food), it provides a small buff against Vampires for XX turns

just a few ideas based off of Vampire lure.
