An idea about ideas....

Hello fellow ATers,

It seems that with the growing success of AT, we see an ever growing number of good ideas posted on the forums.

Between these, the always-welcome priority surveys, and the tremendous effort of Pyrizzle to reference and index them all in a thread, a huge amount of work is spent on managing the community ideas, and the impact it can have on the development of the game.

So I had an idea. Not about the game, but about ideas.

A petition system. Organized crowd-sourcing of ideas. When someone submit an idea, make sure the idea is well-described in the first post (nice & readable english, fully explained game impacts...), and add it as a re-votable poll with choices like "love it, need more work, hate it". That way, we could see at a glance how popular an idea is. Then, ask users to present their ideas that way for them to have a chance to see it considered (might prevent some from doing it, but guarantees a minimum involvement of the user).
Maybe the forum poll format is not the best, but I couldn't think of anything else without involving more web-related work.

The White House does it (We The People‎), so why not us ?

What do you think about it ? Should user remain free to brag about anything in any form ? Is mess the best way to keep ideas, like AT, free ? Vote !

I am all for an organized system for suggesting and implementing new ideas but no matter how we do it (either starting from scratch or reorganizing everything), it is going to be a quest that rivals trying to locate Andor. ;)

I've made a few suggestions before but have not had any time to implement them at all. (Summer is the busy season for my work)

I'd love to hear more of your thoughts and ideas.

Xero: It's not lost my friend. (Check the link above)

I used his suggestions when i was trying to come up with a way to organize and streamline idea submissions.
