when i had picked up my 'free' skills, i had some...
oegyth crystals and some cash - but was sad to see i could only purchase a different skill.

i think it would be nice to be able, for example, to pick Heavy Armour lvl one, and then use 2 crystals and 5000 gold to take heavy armour lvl 2 - and if you had enough crystals and cash, take it all the way to lvl 4.

because these crystals seem like they will have lots of other powerful uses in the future i feel it would be well balanced.

so some people would leap on the chance to spend 6 crystals and 15,000 gold to max a skill, while others would want to pick a selection of skills or save their crystals for other uses.
thoughts?

This is not a bad idea. I might take that deal for the exact example you specified.
I'm not sure if the development team would implement this.

I think it would be better if we could do some sort of training to get those skills.up

I agree, I wouldn't mind spending some crystals on these skills. Actually would have done so on shield proficiency if it was possible :-)

Oh, so you don't want to spend skill points to level up the "free" skill, but instead be able to pay for the upgrade with crystals and/or cash? hmmm, interesting and I'm not sure why that wouldn't be available.
