Temporary Item Management Idea

I realize that item management will be simplified in some future update. In the interim, would it be possible to add some minor functionality? For example, allow us to select an item, then move the selected item above or below a second selected item? Currently to move an item to the position directly above another item (without changing anything else) requires that I move the item to the bottom of the list, then starting with the item I want to be below it, I move each to the bottom of the list until the original item is in the position I wanted. With the two step method, inventory management would be possible. Once my inventory is set the way I want, any new items can be added to my order relatively easily.

Even just having Move Up and Move Down as options, in addition to Move to Top and Move to Bottom, would make things much easier. Better: adapt the Drop/Sell/Buy quantity slider to specify how many spots up or down to go. Maybe not as easy as what you propose, but if implementing the second selection to identify the spot is harder to code...

I would rather see a way of categorizing by item types (Weapon, shield, Armor, potion, food, etc)
I'm assuming it might be fairly easy with the categorization that has just been put into place.

I would envision the reordering options as a complement to category sorting, not a replacement. Unless the player wants to turn off the categorization, of course.

Something to make reordering easier would be a great boon. I know that the categories are still being worked on, so that might be a while yet. But, in the meantime, something to make item management easier would be great.

Then move up and move down would work both in the meantime, and after, to reorder within categories, for instance.

I would like to see multiple drop menus in the inventory each menu containing a different item set ie all weapons group to tether sheilds gems ect like u click on weapons then a drop menu comes up and shows your weapons.

This thread is not about what item management could eventually be. It is a request that some form of minor adjustment be made while actual item management is still in the works.
