I was thinking of something simular to this the other day.

There could be:
Snake Meat
Canine Meat
Bore Meat

all of the varieties could have a different healing potential and maybe even a chance of a boost or negative effect, depending on the type.

Interesting idea.

Some thoughts:
- What kind of meat do you buy in inns? Boar? I remember a cook mentioning "anklebiter steaks".
- Also several kinds of cooked meat (when cooking is introduced)?
- Gornauds also drop meat. Canine?
- Already existing meat ressources could be split up into three equal heaps.

I've thought of it before as well, it is a good idea. I think it would fit in very well with the direction the game is going in.

I was thinking maybe the Inns and shops would sell Lamb chops.

You never know - in Germany companies lately sold horse meat declared as beef...
But since there are no cows yet in AT's world, I think, boar meat would fit good for inns.

There could be varieties, who knows there might be a city or two that pop up that might domesticated animals. There are a lot of farms at this time, but still not much livestock besides the sheep north of the Guardhouse.

Those sheep were mighty tastey... oh wait no I didn't kill those sheep
