Andor’s Trail Project Meeting #28

Present: Oskar Wiksten(oskar.wiksten), Scott Devaney(sdevaney), Stephen Stalnaker(ctnbeh13), Ian Haase(Ian), Tom Jobes(Tomcat), Stan Pawlowski (Meirerion)

1. Follow-up from last meeting:
Go over previous meetings TODO’s.

2. Completed since the last meeting:
Ian has Git push access.

Worldmap alignment discussions (lots of great work by Tomcat!)
TODO: Stan: Create summary of the changes to the guidelines for mapmaking
TODO: Ian: Write more rules that we need to add the the guidelines (about the worldmap alignment: http://andorstrail.com/wiki/doku.php?id ... on:mapping)

576 new lines of dialogue (compared to the 5678 lines we already have)

Dialogue for Lodar quest completed (actually 2 quests).
Dialogue for side-quest in Lodar area completed (for getting access to a bed).

Ian working on Mt. Galmore.

3. Things that are being worked on:
Mt Galmore and Undertell - Tom's excellent suggestions.

Scott working on PK17’s Low Level Quests: http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3313

4. Discussion of some forum threads/posts that people have found interesting, or want clarification on, or maybe a question answered:
Conditional map changes
http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3623
Tom made an awesome suggestion about this, on how we can replace all layers. We’ll try to find the time to code that after this release.

more info in combat log:
http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2385
We could make it scrollable. We could open it by a new button in the toolbox could open it.
Maybe store the combat log in a file?
TODO: Oskar: Check if it’s easily doable for this release.

We should remove the need for a menu-button.
TODO: Oskar: look into whether we can move preferences & save to toolbox items.

limited defense:
http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3871
Good ideas!

Scrolls:
http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3883
Good idea! We could probably add scrolls right now. Also scrolls that affect the combat opponent.

Sakul camp areas
Interesting quest ideas by Meirerion!

Elythara quest
Still left to do: Place NPCs on maps. Create & place monsters on maps.

5. Open Discussion:
Google Play Cloud save
Will require Google+ profile from the player.
Will check on it once more info about it is available.

Android Studio
Awesome compilation of a development environment that’s pre-configured for Android.

6. What should we have ready for the next meeting?

Oskar: would like to finish dialogue for Charwood quests

Scott: Working on PK17’s minor quests. Will create them in the content editor.

Ian: Finishing the last parts of Elythara quest.

Stephen: Hopefully working on an outline on how to best submit content for the game.

Hello Ashtonk87, we are working on the next update now and it shouldn't be too much longer.

I don't have an exact date at this time.

Thank you for your patience. We work on this game in our spare freetime... which can be hard to find sometimes.

I'm working on correcting that last few mistakes on Elythara's quest.
Still some work to do.

Sadly I have exams now...
I'll try to have a look on the world map to see where changes are needed asap.
Btw, is there a way to take all the surface maps and create one map, it would be way easier to fill the gaps etc.
