Cut scenes

Hi all,
I haven't noticed any cut scenes in the game yet, so I'm suggesting for AT to have its own cut scenes in order to add more flavor to the storyline. I'm not sure AT is using which software in its design but I've seen quite popular games created with RPG Maker XP and VX that looks similar to AT and it totally support for Cut Scenes. Kindly consider. ^_^
Edit:
opps... I read a topic that request for sound/voice acting and the response to it and wondering if cut scenes would put burden into the game file size or not, if yes, then just forget what I just posted.

What do you mean by "cut scenes"?

Cut scenes are just things in games where all of a sudden you have no control over your character and are generally mini-movies in games. I don't really support this idea, as Andor's Trail is supposed to be a lightly packaged game, and I don't like cut scenes anyway, but maybe we should hear what the others have to say.

As one of the key concepts of Andor's Trail is to keep the game size as small as possible I cannot support cutscenes in the core game as they will bloat the game enormously.
If cutscenes are desired then perhaps there could be a add on pack for them, the game checks for the presence of the cutscene pack and loads the appropriate cutscene if the pack has been downloaded by the user, if not it continues play?
I personally dislike cutscenes in a game, if I want to watch a film clip I'll watch a film clip, If I'm playing a game then I want to play a game.
It's like playing a tabletop RPG and the DM spends an hour describing a conversation between NPCs, my response would be: "Excuse me but I'm not here to listen to you talk to yourself, can we play a game".
So if we do use cutscene's then there should be an alternative story exposition as well, so people who skipped the cutscene can figure out what just happened.

I don't feel cut scenes are worth implementing. After all they are only viewed once and would take much work to create. Just think of all the content that could be added instead..

No problem, just suggestion, have put thoughts into it, knowing that it might make the game file size bigger. Thanks for responses. ^_^

I've never heard of it, but as it is described here, I have zero interest in it. There are of course lots of ideas on this forum, and many greate ones that I can't wait to see implemented, but sorry, this is not one of them.

you've not heard of cutscenes?
Lets say you are playing Final Fantasy and you get to a story point, suddenly the game loads a long video and shows you a pre-recorded sequence which you cannot control (except to skip to the end) This is a cutscene (and I find them really annoying).

Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy were both notorious for their long and beautiful cut scenes.
Cut scenes are great for large games or games with fantastic graphics, i feel like they wouldn't fit in very well into Andor's trail. It would be difficult to create cut scenes for this game and still manage to keep it at a small enough size that players will still want to download it.
