cave east of loneford

What's in that cave to the east of loneford in the lake bed I explored it a lot and found the guy in the west of it but I haven't been past the part with the nearly impossible monsters.

There's a really nice reward for completing the quest that starts in that cave.

Speak to the NPC in the west of the cave. He will send you to the eastern portion of the cave. You will then have to make your way to Loneford and back. Enjoy.

It's doable at my level though right? I'm 27 now. 104 hp 132%attack. 7-33 damage with crit. 92% block and 500 bonemeals

For sure you can make it. Great stats!

Just a heads up, you may want to invest more points into AC coming up because there are some NPCs with a very high BC and can give you a status effect that can lower your AC up to 70%.

How about the pros and cons of giving the helmet away versus keeping it?

I'm inclined to give it away. There are other good helms (once you reach Remgard) and the reward for giving up the helmet is very nice.
Actually, I don't fight any more. I let the gods handle it. They love fighting. I get them to fight each other and leave us in peace. It's bad enough when humans start trouble.

Personally I think the helm is better. The stat boost that you get from the helm is hard to find on other helms

For a DR build the helmet is probably the better choice.

Can you keep (and use) the helmet as long as you like and at a later time return it and receive the quest reward?
(I can't test that - I returned it immediately).
