Hello Nut,
I'm not in Discord. Some translations are pretty clear and for unclear things I could just leave a suggestion.

How do you handle misspelled English like 'No, sir, I do not.' where Sir should be capitalised?

That's not misspelled. No capitalization is required there.
And ironically you misspelled capitalized

Since Germany is closer to UK I tend to use British English... But confuse since and as ;)
About sir I got mislead somehow.

Schau auf den Zusammenhang. Evtl ist es einfach ein Fehler im Englischen, dann schreib es richtig in der Deutschen Übersetzung.
Oder es ist vielleicht Absicht, dann versuche es im Deutschen nachzustellen. "Ja, Herrchen" könnte es abbilden, wie gesagt, je nach Zusammenhang.

Look at the context. Maybe it's just a mistake in English, then write it correctly in the German translation.
Or maybe it's intentional, then try to recreate it in German. “Yes, master” could represent it, as I said, depending on the context.

Some things are hard to translate. I remember the parts of Greensleeves mentioned in Guynmart dungeon. It took a long while before we got a good German translation: Some parts of "Sah ein Knab ein Röslein stehn".

Automatic translators like Google are really good and help a lot, but I still wouldn't trust them to do it all alone.

Thank you for the explanations. I like to use deepl because of the alternative suggestions.
