Hi,

How about put all contents into one xml, each string with a unique macro or somthing like that.

All the macros expanded in content_X.html and checked with max string length...

If anything wrong with a string, translater can get feedback with macro number and error code.

If new macros dose not exist in translated.xml, then it merged from english.

Thus, a translater dosen't have to be a coder.
For example, I am not a unix or java coder, don't understand string.xml verywell, but I am willing to help.

I think what you are asking for is already taken care of with the translaion validator. If I misunderstood what you are asking for please let me know.
