Starting - Snakes, Snakes everywhere...!!??

Hey all,
startet playing this game and enjoying it.
Currently i am at level 11. I want to explore the world, dungeons and complete quests, but i am always on search for a bed...
i kill like 10-15 enemies, and then i am almost dead and need to run back to a bed.
my tactic at the moment is, to go to that snake dungeon very at the beginning and farming there for flesh (maybe meat? - playing the game in german )
if i got enough flesh, say about 20-30, i go out and enjoy playing, clearing dungeons, until i run out of healing...
But i feel like not coming forword, any tipps for a beginner like me?

Welcome to the forums!
Harvesting meat is a good idea. But you shouldn't take the harvested meat for healing. If you spend about an hour of grinding in the snakecave, you can buy two very precious rings AD+4 from the thief-looking guy in the tavern of Fallhaven. After that, you should be much stronger.
Did you do the "Disallowed substance" quest? You get illegal potions which only cost 50 gold and heal 40 hp.

If you're at level 11, can you also let us know what you used your first 2 skill points on?

But generally the snake caves are a good location at that level.
The damage +4 ring is a good suggestion, another one is the challengers ring sold in the Tavern at Crossgen by the guy you rent the bed from - AC +12%, BC +4%.
And if you get strong enough try to kill the boar surrounded by the small rabid dogs to the east then North of Crossgen. It might drop a leather boot which can give you a BC boost.

My First skillpoint i used for dodge (its "ausweichen" in german). My second i used for constancy(? In German "standhaftigkeit"), because I need this for regeneration, on which I want to spend my next skill point. Or would you give another advice?

In the English version its called Increased Fortitude (the one that raises Max HP +1 each level up). That's a good choice because then you don't have to use level ups on HP, you can focus on AC and AD (and BC but for now I wouldn't since you already boosted it with your first skill).

For now the best way to get more gold for better equipment is to kill small creatures that drop meat (the small snakes and small rabid dogs) so keep doing that, and you can get better equipment. I edited my previous reply to mention a couple things you can get. There might be a lot of grinding at the early part of the game but once you're in the 20-30 level range most of the quests can be completed (but of course its easier if you level up higher).

Thanks guys, those tipps were a great help. I just upgraded the regeneration skill, but I don't really understand how it works, if someone could explain to me?

As long as you're not in combat, it will restore 1 HP per round if you've been injured (I think a round is 6 seconds). So if you're almost dead, instead of using meat, you can find a spot where no creatures can approach you (doorways are good) and just wait until you heal up.
