Fleeing from battle to a map-switch tile

When fleeing from battle onto a map changing tile the map does not change. One has to leave the tile and re-enter it in order to leave. Bug or feature?

I have noticed this too.

If you are standing on the edge of a map tile you are unable to leave that map w/o moving one space in first. You can run along the edge of the map and still not be able to enter but once you go in one space and back you may leave that map and go onto the next.

Always seemed like a bug to me too.

(I may be wrong but) I think this has been reported before.

I don't think that moving within a map change area should switch maps.

I think that if you were to take a step along the map change area that you should then be able to then move out of the map area if you wanted to.

just a opinion.
