Crit skill penalty multiplied by More Criticals skill

I would consider this a bug, because I don't see any logic to it and it is counter productive to the skill's purpose.

If you take levels of the More Criticals skill and then equip an item with a penalty to crit, the penalty is raised just like bonuses are.

For example, I am using the Wooden Defender shield which is listed as "lowers critical skill by 5," and I have 3 levels of More Criticals. When I equip that shield, my crit skill is lowered by 8 instead of 5.

Ouch... good point. Pretty sure the -5 from the shield should take effect after the total crit chance has been calculated including bonus from More Criticals rather than before the skill bonus.

Thank you for reporting this.
It looks like we may have to ajust the way More Criticals effects your CHC.

Just an idea: maybe make the effects from More critcals a static number instead???

Currently:
Increases any existing critical skill given by equipment by 20% for each skill level (percentage of existing critical skill value, not percentage points)

incidentally, is there any penalty and having less than zero crit if you have a weapon that doesnt do criticals?

Thanks for the report, TriangleGM.

Indeed, it sounds wrong that having the skill would give you a disadvantage compared to not having the skill. We'll change that in the next version, so that the skill only applies if your CS is positive.

Thanks for finding it, and for taking the time to post about it!
