Quickstrike Dagger - Overpowered?

Stats:
AP: 3AP
AC: +20%
BC: -20%

Even without the J.o.F. your AP is -1 compared to barehanded and with the J.o.F. your AP will be at 2.

Thoughts? After the change was made to unarmed, i now think that this weapon is overpowered.

Like I wrote in the other topic, my understanding was that unarmed was changed because it shouldn't be more powerful than using a weapon, but the QSD is a weapon so it shouldn't be changed to match unarmed.

It's not quite the same for 2 other reasons: access and cost - the ankle biters and worms take more than a beginner to get through and the QSD is pretty expensive. Unarmed is something you can use from the start so that made it more powerful (for the record I liked it as it was).

Voted no. Items that really are overpowered are items everyone uses.

For weapons, I see several best choices on this forum: the ROL, DotSP, balanced steel sword, quickstrike dagger: totally depending on the build.

For other item types, the best choice base is a lot smaller. Take necklaces for example: it's JoF as soon as possible, and maybe later on Marrowtaint - not depending on builds. So these necklaces ARE overpowered, or all the other ones are not powerful enough. Maybe in the future we will see necklaces with perfect critical capabilities for example: it must be really good before I'm willing to take off my JoF..

The quickstrike is just what is supposed to be: 5 or 6 fast attacks without extra damage, big penalty for defense and no critical hits.

I vote yes. I like to see it a bit weaker in future. I love the idea of flurry of blows, but IMO then those multible hits need to be have worse chance to hit. So i still suggest to change this weapon AC chance to negative...

@pyro - i'm not sure if you have the dev copy of v0.7.0, but...
unarmed gets VERY strong when you commit a few skill points.

to the point it may need to be knocked down a bit...
only in the light of the above consideration - i vote to keep the QSD the same.

unless we nerf the new Unarmed Skill?
then this will "reopen" the topic ~ in my humble opinion

A quick strike should still hit often, so maybe the trade off should be something else like negative DR in addition to the negative BC.

Exactly, kind of like what chaotic grip does.

Tsk tsk... all this talk of "negatives". Why nerf the QSD (a weapon which imho is just about right) when it's the other weapons that need a boost? Instead of changing QSD from a pretty good weapon to a terrible weapon that at least only takes 2AP with the JoF/MT why don't we fix the terribad weapons that are currently worthless and make their extra attack cost actually mean something by being more powerful than other weapons?
