I also sold off the venomous dagger, and wished I could buy it back, but I'm not quite willing to start all over again, there's a bit of grinding involved to get back to where I am now, and I'm trying to keep 2 separate games (kill Vacor, or take his side).

I agree that unique items should remain at the store where you sold it, long term (I noticed its there right after you sell it, but if you go back later its gone). Or make it so unique items can't be sold. Or if sold, the guy you had to fight to get it reappears so you can try to win it again.

First off, I would like to complement the author on a well designed story and a beautiful game with a lot of potential.
