I like to put on some tunes when i'm messing about with images etc.
Here's some of my favourite game music
Planescape: Torment (this is just the title track, others I love are Anna's theme and Deionarra's theme. They are available on the same page)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8usOiu8StWQ
Diablo (Whole game - with Tristram
)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2evIg-aYw8
Mass Effect (this is pretty much all of the music from the game)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idra_THiTS8
And, last, but most definately not least, a cosmic video tribute to Skyrim (which I've never played)
This is a must watch:
Peter Hollens & Lindsey Stirling (I think i'm in love with Lindsay
)

Anyway, I hope you find something you like (and it improves productivity,

)

If you haven't played Bastion I highly recommend it. The game art is beautiful, the soundtrack/narration is amazing, and the gameplay is a lot of fun.
They mesh together really well. Plus it's a nice added bonus to support indie devs!

@sdevaney - we were talking about music in the past & you suggested this game...
after checking it out a little bit, i had to buy it & wasn't disappointed!
Nice call!!! [good taste in games, imagine that?]

@Kruncha - i love listening to music when working
usually something ambient and a little industrial,
sometimes lyrics can distract me... or lead my creative flow.
"Ghosts: i~iv" Sample Download
how can you say "No" to [legal] free music?
(high-quality, DRM-free MP3s, including the complete PDF)
oh yeah, and a youtube sample...

Some excellent choices. Lindsey Stirling is phenomenal and the Bastion soundtrack is also one of those masterpieces that you simply cannot finish life without listening to.
Probably my favorite game soundtrack to listen to is that of the Gothic series -

Another excellent one is The Witcher series -

And Dragon Age of course -

And for some old school awesomeness I always go back to The Secret Of Mana series -

A close second for golden oldies goes to the original Colonization game -

*EDIT* Kruncha, back off from Lindsey! She's mine

There's a couple i really like ('spike in a rail' was funky westernish - great)
A more appropriate tune for this game, by the lovely
Lindsey Sterling (long live the Shadow):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGCsyshU ... ure=relmfu
Flatout: Ultimate Carnage - brilliant soundtrack, highly recommended (it's not chillout music...).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bp3YtTIOlI The game is awesome as well, If you think it starts slow (which caused the tragedy that is Flatout 3) Then just upgrade your car a bit... (nyktos should like this, I've liked NiN since
Doom Quake - It does have lyrics though).
Edit-------------------------
My favourite TV show's theme (with Lindsey

) -
Game of Thrones.

The original is better though...

Not related to anything, but one of the greatest songs of all time...(this is just pure awesomeness)
