weapons should always have a low amount of BC

I would find it more logic if weapons had at least a low BC because in a fight weapons are also used as stopping the hit of your enemy.
The BC should be different between the different types of weapons.
-short swords 7 BC
-long swords 5 BC (heavier than short sword)
-club 5 BC
-knife 1 BC
-dagger 3 BC
What are your thoughts?

I like your premise, but I would think that knives & daggers should not have any BC.

Why not? A common option is to use a sword for offense and carry either a shield, buckler, or dagger in the offhand. This allows you to stop a heavy weapon with your sword and either use the offhand offensively if your opponent isn't armored or to move the opponents weapon to your offhand weapon to hold it defensively so you can swing your sword at a more heavily armored opponent.

The threat of attack is a great defence ;)

Does the fencing blade have BC? I don't have an account that owns one, but I thought so. It would make sense with that weapon.

A knife or dagger requires close hand-to-hand combat, thus the nature of the beast makes it less realistic that the weapon could help with defense.

a knife is a dagger if you are "in combat"
a knife is a tool if you aren't "in combat"

i don't see Oskar making an even smaller blade set for combat.

(just trying to give some insight here)

---{these are the three sets so far...}---

[dagger / short] sword - QSD & DotSP
[long / broad] sword - Flagstone's Pride & Fencing Blade
two handed (sword|axe|hammer) RoL & ElyR

Main differences between a knife and a dagger are that a knife is small enough to be concealable but also generally doesn't have the hilt that allows for it be used defensively.

I agree with your opinion. It's really more logic.

I thought that long swords BC should have more than short swords, because it is longer...for example short: +4 BC, long: +6 BC :)...I am just saying
