new guilds and factions

I was thinking that it would be cool to have more groups like the thieves guild in fallhaven, such as a merchants guild that was centered around commerce(more like a black market I suppose ) or a bounty hunters/mercenary guild. I also thought it would be cool to have a religion that opposed the shadow. I if anyone has any similar or more elaborate ideas I would enjoy hearing them. PS I am aware that the developers are busy right now

Interesting Idea, i would love to see more factions added into the game.
Maybe:
Theives
Guards
Farmers
Calomyran Secret Society <------

There are already plenty of factions that are present, and two about to enter a war. The Shadow and Feygard are about to fight each other, and the Thivesguild guild is giving some support to the Shadow priests to even out the battle so that they can benefit from the chaos of war. The old Gods Kazaul and Elythara are also emerging to reclaim their followers from the chaos of war.

Yes but more groups where the player had more control would allow the player to have even more influence over the game and a more customized experience. Because this game is a single player RPG, one player can have a very different experience from everyone else. More factions would expand on this.

I'm writing a quest atm that's speaks of the rise of Elythara's cult. I hoped a dev could create faction based interactions such as if you're in Elythara's faction every man from Feygard or a Shadow follower won't like you (merchants raise the prices, some guards/commoners may attack you). It could add some depth to your choices. If you follow the light you're going to have a rough time travelling in Nor City.
Ps: In my quest if you help Elythara, Fallhaven becomes an Elytharan town.

IMHO there is no need to introduce new factions. There are already enough to work with. It is much better to have few elements and do a lot with them than to introduce a new faction/character/organization for every single idea. As pointed out above, there are already several religions and organizations. Integrate your ideas into one of the existing elements of the game instead. This will avoid to confuse the player but add interesting aspects to otherwise boring things.
