I'm a great fan of the TV show PAWN STARS so thought why not have something like this in the game, a shop that sells everything in one, all your weapons, potions, armour etc, you could pawn stuff like legendary and ext items, enter in negotiations with the owner in buying,selling ,pawning,I think it would be funny and exciting for the player to do this !

Maybe traders could retain whatever you sold them - they do during the sale process but not once you end it.

I also thought swapping goods might be interesting - may be reduce the buy/sell spread?

Interesting idea but let me get this straight. You go to a pawn shop because you are short of cash taking with you lets say a precious ring of shadow regneration. After some negotiation the pawn shop owner agrees to give you 1000 gold pieces and as long as you come back with 1200 gold within 200 rounds you get your ring back. Perhaps this is a poor example but surely you could just sell some stuff you dont need like the 1000 dead spiders in your bag.

Not meaning to completely poo poo your idea Scottdog after all I dont want to get battered by your Celtic tattoo knuckle duster.

Well perhaps what about this ,the pawning idea was just to make it fun! You could pawn your legandry item for a skill instead of gold (ex, Rols for +2 magic finder, once finished with the skill take it back to the pawn shop get your Rols back and give the owner some gold for his trouble !

This might be fun. You take your ElyR to the pawn shop do the deal but when you go back the dodgy pawn shop owner has sold it so you are forced to torture him to find out who he sold it to. Obviously you kill him and burn his shop to the ground (or leave him to recover if so inclined). You then have an exciting quest to find the new owner of your beloved ring/sword/helm etc. Of course they are located at the other end of the world and have many dangerous henchmen, after fighting or giving them bribes you reach the new owner. You could then deal with them in some kind of transaction (after all they paid for it in good faith) or kill them and take back your item perhaps getting some kind of treasure from them and/or the henchmen.

Give piggy the slayer a job oskar,number 1 quest writer,quite funny that one matey, love it ! I just think its boring when you buy and sell items in the shop, anything to make it more fun for the player, at the end of the day that's why we all play this game innit

You are too kind. After all you came up with the idea Scottdog. I will try to think up some more quests. My favorite so far was getting infected and having to run about looking for items to make the cure.
