AP Question: Villain's Armor

Hi there!

I just went to the crossroads guardhouse in the northwest of fallhaven in order to buy the Villain's leather suit (I hope this is the right name, I'm playing the german version) for 4255 Gold. It should give me a 1 AP Bonus, but it doesn't work. During the fights I still have my 11 AP like always. I thought it'll go up to 12 AP. Is this a bug?

No, villain's leather armour only lowers your move cost. Like this: If you plan to run away, you wouldn't need 6ap, you'd onlly need 5ap. Very useful artifact for us rogue players, who love hit and run tactics. Especially useful for those of us who are using 5 ap weapons, as that means we can use hit and run too.

Welcome to the forums, Robsau! :D

What you want is the Jewel of Fallhaven and points in the skill Combat Speed. The Jewel of Fallhaven subtracts 1 from the AP cost of your weapon when you attack, and Combat Speed will add to your overall Action Points up to +2. ;)

One thing i want to add here:

Minor Potion of Speed:
Category: Potion
When used: On source: Minor Speed (5 rounds)

Minor Speed: Constant effect: raises max AP +2

This is not on this topic but the title fits so I posted here:

How come the Maonit Troll and Maonit Brutes, on the way to Remgard, have 5 AP but only hit once?

They have an attack cost of 5AP, but only have 5 as their max AP, instead of the usual max=10AP.

Which is good, because even with 1 attack per turn, if they land a critical, they can kill you in one hit.
Same with those Aluril creatures, especially if you get stunned.

By the way, you can also add Coward's boots to reduce move cost by 1 more AP.
