Is Blackwater misery supposed to be permanent in the newest version? I unequipped the item. Sold the item. Healed. And leveled up. Blackwater misery is still active.

No it should not be permanent. On the "overview" screen, do you see the misery condition listed? Should tell you how many rounds are left.

It doesn't give any amount of rounds remaining.

In parentheses at the end of the condition's name should be the number of remaining rounds.

Yeah. I have let the game run for over 30 min. It's still there.

My mistake, it is permanent. Sorry, it's been a while since I've used Blackwater items. Well permanent as long as its equipped.

If you have any of the Blackwater items they will give you BlackWater Misery and the effects stay until the equipment is unequipped, if the effects are staying after the equipment is removed then what we have is a bug.

A side note: the Effects of BlackWater Misery do not stack so you can equip all the equipment and will only have 1 effect of Blackwater Misery (which does make the equipment, slightly more useful)

Then it is a bug

Need your savegame to take care of that for you.

Also as many details about what you did before you noticed the effect wasn't going away after taking off all BW items.
